I am the crazy Dog/Horse lady! I think I am actually in the category of collector!
Well, to my defense, I got a call Friday morning at work, at 7:45 am from one of my pug owning customers. She tells me that there is a pug in Franklin that the owner has threatened to shoot or put down unless someone takes him. So of course....... I said bring him to me. At about 3pm a van pulls up to the door of Eurasian, out steps a teenager, her mother was driving, and said, "well, here he is" . I asked questions, but there were no answers......they just dropped him and took off! Can you imagine? Anyway, his name WAS Spaz..... Tom and I decided to call him Tazz. Its not great, but it kinda sounds like his old name. They did tell me he was 5 years old. The only other thing I know is that he is not fixed (which is obvious) for two reasons, well three if you count the first reason twice :) He does have a marking issue, which I intend to "nip in the bud" very soon. He seems to be adjusting just fine, the other dogs get along with him, but are probably wondering when he will be leaving.
UPDATE
Well, Its been a week and Tazz has blended well with the family. He is now Tom's shadow and partner. He goes everywhere with him. Unbelievable, but true, Tom has turned into a pug lover! Saturday I will be taking Tazz with me to the vet where I intern. He will be getting a full work up. Hopefully everything will be ok.
